Lauren Shinnimin

Lauren completed a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science in Manitoba and went on to complete the Master of Sustainable Forest Management (MSFM) program at UBC.

Lauren has a diverse range of experience working in forestry in Manitoba and British Columbia. Her experience includes silviculture surveying and planning, cutblock design and layout, forest health management, urban forestry, and working with First Nations in forestry. As an associate forester with Frontera, Lauren has further expanded her scope of work to include wildland fire and fuel management.

Outside of work, Lauren enjoys spending time outdoors hiking, backpacking, camping, and snowboarding. Formerly a semi-professional dancer, Lauren continues to enjoy various forms of dance, live music, and singing karaoke.
