FireSmart & Urban Forestry
Helping create resilient homes and communities.
what we do
Solutions for the Urban Landscape
Living in and near the forest involves co-existing with natural hazards present in these forests. We help our clients understand those risks, and develop plans to mitigate those risks.
How we Help
Assessments, Reports & Policy Development
Wildfire Hazard Assessment Reports
We work with developers and homeowners to ensure compliance with Wildfire Hazard Development Permit Areas in municipalities throughout BC.
Arborist Reports
Our ISA Certified Arborists can assess and inventory trees, conduct tree risk assessments, and develop tree management plans for tree management.
FireSmart Assessments
Frontera’s Local FireSmart Representatives provide FireSmart Assessments of homes and critical infrastructure to assess wildfire vulnerability, and identify options for reducing that vulnerability.
Wildfire Policy Development
We help local authorities develop and implement wildfire risk mitigation policies through bylaw, Official Community Plans, and Wildfire Hazard Development Permit Areas.
what our partners are saying
"One FireSmart program done. Another halfway through. A third under application. None of this would have happened without Frontera's involvement, guidance, professional knowledge, willingness to sort out confusion, and excellent advisement. Stellat'en First Nation is well pleased with the services Frontera has provided and we look forward to a long and productive relationship. Thank you Frontera for helping us protect our community."
