We are highly experienced in providing Wildfire Hazard Assessment Reports as required by Development Permit Bylaws in numerous municipalities.

Frontera also works with landowners and asset managers to develop wildfire risk mitigation plans to meet risk management policies.

Municipal Bylaw & Legislation

community consultation

Frontera assists communities in designing Development Permit Areas (DPAs), or GIS layers that indicate where and how DP wildfire bylaws can or should be applied.

Our planning team can assist with designing the written sections of wildfire DP bylaws and Official Community Plans, and where necessary work with other professionals such as municipal planners and legal teams.

In collaboration with local governments, Frontera assists with the public engagement process that occurs in conjunction with municipal bylaw updates.

what our partners are saying

"One FireSmart program done. Another halfway through. A third under application. None of this would have happened without Frontera's involvement, guidance, professional knowledge, willingness to sort out confusion, and excellent advisement. Stellat'en First Nation is well pleased with the services Frontera has provided and we look forward to a long and productive relationship. Thank you Frontera for helping us protect our community."
