How we Help

High-Quality Mapping & Analysis

Cartographic Products

The Frontera GIS team is responsible for developing mapping products for various projects. We support our forestry professionals with dynamic field maps embedded with field forms to streamline the field data collection process.

We develop and create standardized professional maps for our technical reports and planning documents to provide visualized context and information. We have a robust pipeline to produce and deliver streamlined mapping products.

Heat Mapping

Extreme Heat Risk Mapping is an important tool that can be used to inform the impact of extreme heat in a spatial context. Our GIS team takes an innovative approach to developing methodologies tailored to our clients. We leverage technologies and software such as Google Earth Engine and ArcGIS Pro to perform data analysis and create spatial products. In addition to the data driven spatial analysis, we work closely with our clients to maximize the involvement of local knowledge in order to develop an adaptive and reliable heat mapping product.

LiDAR Processing

Our GIS professionals are experienced with LiDAR processing and point cloud analysis to support forestry work. We process LiDAR data to derive forest metrics such as canopy height, stand structure, terrain models, and vegetation information. By combining remote sensing tools with forestry knowledge, our team creates reliable spatial products that help improve understanding of forest conditions across the project area. Our workflow focuses on streamlined data processing and practical outputs that are accessible to our team and clients.

Data Submissions

At the end of our GIS pipeline, we offer professional data submission services for a variety of project types, including CRI and MOF opening submissions. Our GIS department has developed robust, repeatable workflows for each submission type to ensure the required standards are met, the data is accurate and clean, and the spatial quality aligns with client and regulatory requirements. Our GIS team works closely with our forestry professionals to ensure the data is complete and consistent.
