Wendi attended UBC, achieving a bachelor's degree in urban forestry and a master's degree in geomatics for environmental management. This experience has given her an in-depth understanding of forestry, ecology and remote sensing.
During her master's program, Wendi completed research for BC Parks measuring changing landscape patterns for four provincial parks. At Frontera, Wendi is excited to leverage her geomatic skillsets to better quantify and visualize big-picture forestry issues, enabling evidence-based decision making and fostering proactive forestry in the face of climate uncertainties.
In her free time, you will find Wendi gliding on ice rinks across Vancouver (practicing figure skating moves with an unpredictable success rate), hiking around beautiful BC, or taste testing restaurants and bakeries with friends.
